Sensei Jonathan Klarich
Jon began his martial arts training when he was 6 years old, at Health Quarters with Sensei Bruce Goldberg. He trained and recieved his black belt from Sensei Goldberg in the systems of Goju Ryu, Shorin Ryu and Uechi Ryu. Jon trained with Sensei Goldberg at OMAA until his untimely death in 2006, then continued his training in SanShin BanYingRuan under Shihan Jakle. Jon was awarded his Ni-Dan in 2011 by Shihan Jakle and Soke Byers.
Between the ages of 14-15, Jon assisted Sensei Scott Olfe and Sensei Don Williams with the children's classes. After a short hiatus, he started teaching again at age 17 under the instruction of Shihan Jakle, instructing children's and junior black belt classes. Jon recently graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia and is pursuing a degree in medicine. He is taking a hiatus right now but occasionally trains and teaches when he's in town.
