Sensei Kelli Ballard
Kelli's interest in martial arts started after completing a karate course for a PE credit in college. Years later, after training at the Okinawan Martial Arts Academy under Shihan Bruce Goldberg, she was awarded her Shodan black-belt in 2003. Kelli was awarded her Yon-Dan in 2011 by Shihan Jakle and Soke Byers.
With a Master's degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, and having worked with special needs individuals, Kelli realizes how the art can be used to meet the sensory needs of individuals with special needs. Having seen the benefits of combining both the Martial Arts and Applied Behavioral Analysis, Kelli utilizes this knowledge when possible at the Okinawan Martial Arts Academy.
